Cold Steel is an American company that manufactures knives, swords, and other bladed and impact weapons and tools.
The company was founded in 1980 by Lynn Thompson.
After studying a lot of specialized literature, literally feeling dozens and hundreds of ancient blades, talking to theoretical scientists and practicing blacksmiths, Thompson proposed his own designs, which, like their historical prototypes, were capable of hitting the most indestructible targets.
